DOORLEC’S model SWGO is developed to power heavy residential and commercial gates with high frequency of operation, where security and vehicle traffic control is essential. It is engineered for maximum dependability in demanding applications, such as entrance to secure areas of airports, research centres, military installations, embassies, etc. Will accept, if specified, any optional equipment for fully automatic operation and security control systems.
Three-Button Control:
Momentary-contact type for open, close, stop. Operator may be stopped in any position and gate moved in either direction from that position. Close button can be wired for constant pressure when specified. Control circuit: 24V. A.C. for user’s protection.
Adjustable Automatic Friction-Clutch:
To protect gate and operator in case of obstruction.
Reduction:
Rugged power unit of this operator utilizes double V belt (4L) and heavy pulleys for primary reduction. Worm-gear reducer 40:1 ratio for secondary reduction. Gate operating speed approx. 1,0 ft (.3m) per second.
Limit Switches:
Rotary-type, friction-free cams and precision micro switches, for automatic stopping of gate in open and closed positions. Easily adjustable without tools.
Reversing Contactor:
Heavy-duty type.
Universal Mounting:
Right or left side. (Left hand shown).
Manual-Overload Relay:
For overcurrent and under-voltage protection. (Manual reset).
Motor:
1/2 H.P. (373W), 120V. or 240V. single phase, 208V., 230V., 416V., 460V. or 600V. three phase.
Finish:
Primed with rust-proof primer and spray-painted in gold-tan baked enamel.
Heater:
Thermostatically-controlled 500W heater is provided to prevent freezing of oil in reducer and eliminate humidity on electrical components.
Unit factory pre-wired, colour-coded and tagged. Wiring diagrams, installation instructions are enclosed with each operator. Operator is pre-run and tested before shipment.
The control cabinet:
is built on a 10-gauge cold-rolled steel frame that’s welded together, with all welds ground smooth. The four sides and lid are covered with embossed access panels fitted with gaskets and bolted to the frame with galvanized bolts, creating a weatherproof unit. The four side access panels are easily removable for maintenance and servicing. Electrical components are located on the side opposite to traffic. The control cabinet is treated with a layer of anti-rust primer and a layer of spray-on gold-beige enamel.
Electrical control cabinet:
Pre-wired at the factory and made from embossed sheet metal. Dimensions: 8″ x 16″ (20.3cm x 40.6cm). Attached to the chassis using four galvanized steel bolts.
Motor control:
Heavy-duty reversing contactor, two sets of three-pole contactors on a common frame, mechanically linked to prevent simultaneous closure. Hinge-type armature supported at three points, single or double pole auxiliary contacts (as appropriate) on each armature. Coils: 24V AC. Non-inductive contact load of 15 amps at 120V AC, 10 amps at 240V AC, 5 amps at 600V AC; inductive: 2 HP (1492W) max. Quick connect terminals of .25″ (6.35mm). Mechanical life: 10 million cycles.
Limit switches:
Rotary type, the cams are fixed on the output shaft of the control that rotates on high-speed self-lubricating ball bearings. At predetermined positions, the cams actuate the microswitches which cut off the power supply to the motor control in the opening and closing direction. Maximum force exerted on the switch: 4 ounces (113.4g). Contact gap: .02″ (0.5mm). Quick connect terminals of .25″ (6.35mm). Easily adjustable without tools.
Reduction:
The SWGO control uses a 4L trapezoidal belt, a 1 1/2″ (3.75cm) cast iron pulley, type A and a 9″ (22.8cm) alloyed aluminum cast iron pulley, balanced to ensure smooth primary reduction operation. The secondary reduction is provided by a single-stage worm gear reducer submerged in oil, 40:1 ratio, C flanges, cast iron housing. Hardened and bored steel worm shaft and bronze alloy gear for extended life. High-speed tapered roller bearings with spring seals and double lip to retain lubricant inside and dirt outside. Reinforced hardened and bored steel shaft. Input 1750 RPM maximum 2 HP (1493W). Output torque: 1380 lb.in. (1590cm.kg.). Radial load: 1100 pounds (500kg). Output shaft: Diameter of 1 inch (2.54cm). Speed: 44 RPM. Chain with tenons and No. 50 sprocket for reduction towards the control drive shaft. Door speed: Approximately 1 foot (30cm) per second.
25 va step-down transformer:
Primary 120V, 240V AC to secondary 24V AC. Primary 208V, 230V, 416V, 460V, 600V AC to secondary 24V AC.
Automatic adjustment friction clutch:
4″ (10.16cm) diameter aluminum disc fixed to the rotating shaft whose one end is attached to a 4″ (10.16cm) diameter x 1/8″ (0.32cm) thick fibrous non-flammable clutch material disc. Two 7″ (17.78cm) heavy-duty V-belt pulleys are compressed by means of a powerful compression spring and a nylon nut. The friction clutch system can be adjusted as needed according to the size and weight of the door. The clutch protects the door and control in the event of an obstruction.
Manual release:
In case of power failure, the door can easily and quickly be released from the SWGO Doorlec control by simply triggering a stud on the door arm. The door then opens manually.
Motor:
Rated for heavy-duty use (capacitor start for single-phase models) 1/2 HP (373W), 120V or 240V single-phase, 208V, 240V, 416V, 460V or 600V three-phase, 1725 RPM. Self-lubricating ball bearings. Rigid type 56 frame. Shaft: 5/8″ (1.59cm) diameter. Other voltages available upon request.
Unique locking mechanism. When the door closes, the locking pin mounted on the edge of the door enters the fixed locking housing mounted on the door post, resulting in automatic engagement. When the control is powered on, a solenoid actuates the trigger that simultaneously releases the locking pin and allows the door to open. A keyed lock is provided for manually disengaging the locking mechanism in case of power failure. The Doorlec lock is delivered as shown above. The fixing hardware must be manufactured on site according to the dimensions of the post.
Specify the diameter of the fixed post when ordering.
