The model SGP GATE-MASTER sliding gate operator is one of the most advanced units in today’s industry. Engineered for post mount installation, and designed to be used with overhead, cantilever and V roller, industrial type sliding gates. This unit is powerful enough to handle gates up to 85 ft. (25.91m) and weighing up to 2,500 lbs. (1134kg). Heavy gauge steel cabinet EEMAC 4 weatherproof with padlockable hinged door, offers great durability, simple installation, service and maintenance. It can also be adapted to steel mounting stand as an option, for concrete base application.
Dc 2000 Dedicated Logic Controller state of the art is used to accept, when specified any optional equipment for fully automatic operation
Heater:
175 watts thermostatically controlled and adjustable to prevent freezing of oil in reducer and to eliminate humidity on electrical components.
Adjustable Torque Limiter will protect gate and operator in case of obstruction.
Reversing Contactor:
Heavy-duty type.
MASTER/SLAVE wiring modification available at no extra cost.
Weatherproof Three Button Control:
momentary contact type for open, close, stop. Operator may be stopped in any position, and gate may open or close from that position. Control circuit: 24V A.C. for user’s protection.
Manual-Overload Relay:
For overcurrent and under-voltage protection. Manual reset.
Motor Block Base: Constructed of 3/16″ (4.76mm) cold rolled steel, reinforced with a second steel plate of the same thickness the width of the control cabinet and bolted to the bottom of the cabinet with four 3/8″ (9.52mm) bolts.
Gear Reduction:
The (40:1) worm gear single stage reducer operates in an oil bath contained in a “C” flange cast iron housing. The gear wheel is made of alloyed bronze to extend durability and the worm gear is made of hardened steel. High speed tapered roller bearings with double edge seals are used to prevent lubricant loss and maximum entry 2 HP (1492 W) at 1750 RPM. Output torque 1380 in/lb (1590 cm/kg). Radial load 1100 lb (499 kg). Output shaft 1″ (2.54cm), 44 RPM. Barrier speed, about 7 in/s (18 cm/s).
The reducer output shaft is connected by a #50 roller chain and #50B23 sprockets to a second 1″ (2.54cm) elongation proof shaft that rotates in two flanged (high speed) cast iron bearings and operates the barrier. In addition, to increase strength and extend life, the reducer is equipped with two intermediate shafts rotating in four flanged (high speed) cast iron bearings. The barrier is opened or closed by a roller chain and #50 sprockets mounted on the control mechanism and connected to the barrier terminal posts by two sturdy “L” brackets and chain tensioners provided by Doorlec. As a precaution, the main sprocket and chain are protected by a metal cover.
Torque Limiter:
Protects the barrier and control in case of obstruction. The limits are not affected when the limiter comes into action. This mechanism consists of a steel hub, two 4″ (10.2cm) diameter clutch plates, a #50B23 sprocket, two non-flammable 4″ (10.2cm) friction discs, a spring washer, and an adjustable cup.
The holding force varies from 25 to 1500lb (11.4 to 680.4kg) and must be adjusted on site taking into account the weight of the barrier.
Manual Clutch Lever:
When this lever is in manual mode, the control mechanism is disengaged, allowing the barrier to be operated in case of a power outage without being forced to disconnect the chain. When the barrier is pushed by hand, the limit adjustments are not affected. Therefore, after power is restored and the clutch lever is returned to electric mode, the barrier will stop, in both directions, without further adjustments.
Electric Control Panels:
These panels, made of stamped steel to ensure rigidity, are factory mounted. They are attached above the drive mechanism, inside the cabinet, with zinc-plated steel bolts and include all electrical components, the connection board, and signaling.
Motor Controls:
Heavy-duty reversing contactor, two sets of three-pole contacts mounted on a common base and mechanically engaged to prevent simultaneous closure. Flap type armature with three-point suspension, single-pole and two-direction (SPDT and DPDT) auxiliary switches, if any, on each armature. 120V AC coils. Contact load: resistive, 15 amps at 600V AC; inductive, 10 HP (7460 watts) maximum. Terminals: 0.25″ (0.635cm) quick connect. Mechanical durability: more than 10 million cycles.
End Switches:
Rotary type, frictionless, with “oilite” bronze cams, grooved and held in a galvanized steel plate, embossed and spring mounted. The cams are fixed on a 5/8″ x 10-3/4″ (1.59cm x 27.31cm) cold rolled steel shaft supported by high-speed ball bearings. Thanks to their predetermined movements, the cams operate the micro-switches that cut off the motor control power, ensuring precise stoppage of the barrier, in open or closed position. Maximum force exerted on the switches: 4 oz (113.4g). Contact spacing: 0.02″ (0.02cm). Quick connect terminals: 0.25″ (0.635cm).
Motor:
Continuous service. Single phase models are capacitor type. 3/4HP (560W), 1HP (746W), 1-1/2HP (1119W) or 2HP (1492W), single phase, 120V or 240V. Three-phase models from 208 to 600 V. Speed 1725 RPM. Permanently lubricated ball bearings. Rigid housing 56C. Shaft 5/8″ or 7/8″ (1.59 or 2.22cm) in diameter.
The 2HP (1492W) single phase motor is not recommended.

SPECIALIZED LOGIC CIRCUIT CONTROLLER DC2000
The SGP GATE-MASTER barrier opener is equipped with the specialized logic circuit controller DC2000 designed to work with any automatic or manual activator without requiring programming. A sliding switch allows you to choose manual or automatic mode.
In manual mode, the following controls can be used for the operation of the barrier;
Open/close/stop push buttons
Reversing activator
Open/close activator
Radio remote control system
In automatic mode, the same commands can be used, plus the advantage of a delayed action closing mechanism. This timer, adjustable from 10 to 180 seconds, is on standby when the barrier is fully open, ready to signal the closing cycle after a predetermined delay.
