DOORLEC’S most powerful sliding gate operator for industrial installation. The model SGOH is specially designed for sliding gates, overhead, cantilever or roller V track type up to 85 ft. (25.9m) wide and weighing up to 2,100 lbs (952.5 kg). Heavy gauge steel base for concrete pad mounting or post mounting (optional, at extra cost) with 500 watts thermostatically controlled heater and weather-resistant lockable cover, removable for easy service and maintenance. Will accept, when specified, any optional equipment for fully-automatic operation
Reduction:
Worm-gear reducer, single stage, running in oil bath, 40:1 ratio, C flange design, cast iron alloy housing, No. 50 roller-chain and sprockets from operator drive shaft to gate brackets. Gate speed: 7″ (18cm) per second approximately.
Adjustable Torque Limiter:
Will protect gate and operator in case of obstruction. (Optional at extra cost).
Reversing Contactor:
Heavy-duty type.
Three-Button Control:
Momentary-contact type for open, close, stop. Operator may be stopped in any position and gate opened or closed from that position. Close button can be wired for constant pressure when specified. Control circuit: 24V. A.C. for user’s protection.
Safety Interlock:
Electrical interlock switch automatically cuts power of operator control when hand-crank is in operation.
Selenoid Brake:
To secure locking of gate in closed position.
Manual-Overload Relay:
For overcurrent and under-voltage protection. Manual reset.
Motor:
3/4 H.P. (560W), 1 H.P. (746W), 1-1/2 H.P. (1119W) or 2 H.P. (1493W). 120V. or 240V. single phase, 208V., 230V., 416V., 460V. or 600V. three phase.
2 H.P. (1492W) not recommended in single-phase motors.
Finish:
Primed with rust-proof primer and spray-painted in blue hammertone baked enamel.
Motor Control:
Heavy-duty reversing contactor, two sets of three-pole contactors on a common frame, mechanically linked to prevent simultaneous closure. Hinge-type armature supported at three points, monopole or bipolar auxiliary contacts (as appropriate) on each armature. Coils: 24V AC. Non-inductive contact load of 15 amps at 120V AC, 10 amps at 240V AC, 5 amps at 600V AC; Inductive: 2 HP (1492W) max. Quick connect terminals of .25″ (6.35mm). Mechanical lifespan: 10 million cycles.
Reduction:
Single-stage oil-bathed worm gear reducer, 40:1 ratio, C flanges, cast iron casing. Hardened steel worm and bored, bronze alloy gear for extended lifespan. High-speed tapered bearings with spring and double lip seals to retain lubricant inside and keep dirt out. Reinforced and bored hardened steel shaft. Input: max 1725 rpm 2HP (1493W). Output torque: 1380 lb.in (1590 cm.kg). Radial load: 1100 lbs (500kg). Output shaft: Diameter of 1 inch (2.54cm). Speed: 44 rpm. Door speed: About 7″ (18cm) per second.
Chassis:
Bolted frame, assembled with heavy steel ribbed reinforcements and junction plates.
Limit Switches:
Rotary type, frictionless, antifriction bronze cams with guide groove in a spring-retained galvanized steel plate. The cams are mounted on a 5/8″ (1.59cm) x 10 3/4″ (27.30cm) drawn steel shaft rotating on high-speed lubricated ball bearings. At predetermined positions, the cams activate the micro switches that cut off the motor control power in the opening and closing directions. Maximum force applied on the switch: 4 ounces (113.4g). Contact gap: .02″ (0.5mm). Quick connect terminals of .25″ (6.35mm).
Electric Control Cabinet:
Pre-wired at the factory and manufactured in sheet metal rigid enough and designed to meet EEMAC and ACNOR type 12 requirements. Dimensions: 8″ x 16″ x 5″ (20.3cm x 40.6cm x 12.7cm) with a removable cover to facilitate service and maintenance. Attached to the chassis using four galvanized steel bolts.
Heating:
500W heating element controlled by a thermostat to prevent the reducer oil from freezing and to eliminate moisture on the electrical components.
Torque Limiter:
Protects the door and control in the presence of an obstacle; the limit positions are not disturbed by the action of the torque limiter. The torque limiter consists of a steel hub and two 4″ (10.16cm) diameter clutch plates, a 50B23 pinion, two 4″ (10.16cm) diameter non-flammable fiber friction discs, and spring washers with an adjustable pressure cup. The holding force, adjustable between 25 and 1500 pounds (11.4 to 681kg), is set on-site as needed according to the weight of the door (optional, additional fees).
Handle:
With safety electric lock. The tension exerted on the manual control lever releases the brake device of the control allowing the manual actuation of the door without having to release the main drive chain. When the crank is operated, a switch automatically cuts the 24V power supply circuit of the control. This safety electric lock protects the door and control in the event that, once the power is restored, the push-button would be accidentally activated.
The SGOH control is essentially designed to be mounted on a cement panel. It can be modified upon request to be mounted on posts (optional, additional fee).
Motor:
Certified for heavy use (capacitor start for single-phase models) 3/4 HP (560W) or 1 HP (746W), 1 1/2 HP (1119W), or 2 HP (1493W), 120V or 240V single-phase, 208V to 600V three-phase, 1725 rpm. Self-lubricating ball bearings. Rigid frame type 56C. Shaft: 5/8″ (1.59cm) or 7/8″ (2.22cm) diameter. 2 HP (1493W) not recommended for single-phase supplies.
The device is pre-wired, color-coded, and labeled at the factory.
Each control is delivered with its wiring diagram and installation manual.
The control is tested at the factory before shipment.
Unique locking mechanism design. When the door is closed, the locking bolt mounted on the edge of the door enters the fixed locking housing mounted on the door post, resulting in automatic engagement. When power is applied to the control, a solenoid actuates the trigger which simultaneously releases the locking bolt and allows the door to open. A key lock is provided to manually release the locking mechanism in case of a power outage. The Doorlec lock is delivered as illustrated above. The fixing hardware must be manufactured on-site according to the dimensions of the post.
Specify the diameter of the fixed post at the time of ordering.
